At Ia’s Learning Tree, children learn and grow everyday, in a nurturing, safe, and joyful environment.

Ia Kakhidze, a longtime teacher, and her daughter, Teona, started Ia’s Learning Tree in 2014. They now have multiple locations, and have created warm learning environments at each one.

Ia’s applies ideas from educational theorists like John Dewey, who said children learn by taking an active role in play, and Maria Montessori, who emphasized creating an environment that allows children to play and learn safely and with an age-appropriate level of independence. Ia’s also has special guest teachers come in to teach extracurricular activities, such as Music, Spanish, and Yoga, several days a week.
